BASTILLE DAY

Bastille Day celebrates the storming of the Bastille prison in Paris on July 14, 1789, which marked the start of the French Revolution, a pivotal moment in French history. On 14th July, the Department of French celebrated Bastille Day in all its pomp and gaiety with a variety of programmes.French culture has played a vital role in shaping the arts, cultures and sciences of the world. Since France is internationally renowned for its fashion, cuisine, art and cinema, the French crew of St Peter's organised a cultural fiesta in the assembly conducted in French language.

The truest expression of a culture is in its dance and its music. The team arranged two dance performances, a greeting song and a skit  based on Red Riding Hood in French.

A virtual visit to France was done through an enlightening video about France by Nevin Mathews and Tharian Sinoj  of class X.  After the cultural programme, the Food Festival organised by the students 8A  was inaugurated by our Principal Sonia ma'am, Anupriya ma'am,Raji ma'am and our French teachers. Many students and teachers took part in the food festival. The day helped the Peterians to discover the French culture and learn about it intimately.
