ALL ABOUT ME

Our bodies work like a clock and are beautiful examples of nature’s miracle. When you have children, though, this miracle can turn into a minefield of questions! They always look for fresh knowledge and absorb it like a sponge.  Music is a great way to keep little ones engaged fruitfully.   The Activity  'ALL ABOUT ME’ started with an action song, 'Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes…..' in which all the students participated. With an objective of reinforcing different Sense Organs of the human body, sense booths were organized for the tiny tots of classes 1 and 2. Teachers set up five different sense booths to make students understand the function and importance of each organ in a fun and innovative way.

The children got an opportunity to have hands-on experience about the elementary purpose of each organ.  The sight booth gave a visual treat to the students. For touch sense, different textures and sensations were introduced. In taste and smell booths , children experienced  different tastes and fragrances. Lastly, the hearing booth helped the children to experience different types of sounds.

The objective of providing an interactive way of introducing the five sense organs to the children was effectively achieved as each child participated in multitude activities organized to help them focus and notice the function of each organ more closely and thus reinforced the concept of five senses. The Model of the Internal organs which was exhibited and the body template, where the  children could take different human organs in the body and place them in the right place, also gave them a great experience. Listening to the heartbeat of their friends gave an  astounding and eye popping experience that they  enjoyed and will be recollected forever.
