CAREER GUIDANCE SESSION 

The session was led by Mr. Jeevan G, an expert from Logic School of Management, known for his in-depth knowledge of professional courses and career planning for commerce students. He began the session by addressing the growing importance of choosing the right career path in today’s competitive world. The session aimed to provide students with insights into diverse career options, educational pathways, and necessary skill sets required for different professions.

Objectives

•  To create awareness about career opportunities available for commerce students.

• To provide detailed information on higher education options, such as B.Com, BBA, CA, CS, CMA, and other professional courses.

• To assist students in identifying their strengths and aligning them with potential career paths.

• To address students’ questions and clarify doubts related to careers, courses, and college admissions.

Overview of Commerce Career Paths: Mr. Jeevan elaborated on the significance of several professional courses. He highlighted the unique aspects of each course, including their career prospects, eligibility criteria, and the skills required for success.The resource person shared a comprehensive overview of various careers in the commerce field, such as:

• Accountancy and Finance: Roles such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Financial Analyst were discussed, including the qualifications and skills needed.

• Business and Management: Degrees like Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and career paths in management, entrepreneurship, and marketing were covered

• Banking and Insurance: Careers in banking, investment banking, and insurance were discussed, with details about the roles, responsibilities, and qualifications needed.

• Law: The speaker highlighted the scope of law for commerce students, emphasizing courses such as BA LLB and BBA LLB.
