An insightful career guidance session on opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces was conducted for Class XII students on 6 October 2026.
The session provided a comprehensive overview of various entry routes after Class XII, including the National Defence Academy (NDA), medical and nursing services, the Indian Navy, aviation and both technical and non-technical roles. Students were briefed on eligibility criteria, selection procedures, training pathways, as well as special entries via sports and the NCC.
Additionally, the talk highlighted the distinct benefits of serving in the Armed Forces and introduced students to mock interview sessions and mentorship opportunities with retired officers at St. Joseph’s College.
The initiative successfully broadened students' horizons, inspiring them to pursue a career in the defence forces with confidence, commitment and a strong spirit of service to the nation.
