As part of the ongoing commitment to promoting a Substance Abuse Free Environment (S.A.F.E.), the Health and Wellness Club organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Walkathon and Street Play on 2 July 2026 at Kolenchery under the theme, "Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free." The programme aimed to create awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to encourage young people to make informed, healthy life choices.
The programme commenced at 9:45 a.m. with the flag-off by the Principal, Mr. R.K. Moses. A total of 171 students participated in the event, comprising the Grade 7 Future Stars and the Grade 8 Street Play team, under the guidance of seven teachers and with the support of three office staff members.
During the walkathon, students carried theme-based banners and placards while raising impactful anti-drug slogans that spread the message of leading a drug-free life. The Grade 8 students also staged a thought-provoking street play depicting the harmful consequences of substance abuse and emphasizing the importance of making responsible choices.
The programme concluded successfully at 10:45 a.m. The initiative effectively strengthened community awareness on drug prevention while reinforcing the values of social responsibility and healthy living among students.
