Football Fever Sweeps the Campus

United by the Beautiful Game, Inspired by the Spirit of the World Cup

The Football Carnival 2026 kicked off a day of excitement and celebration as the campus came alive with the electrifying spirit of the FIFA World Cup. Organised by the Department of Physical Education in association with the Health and Wellness Club on 8 July 2026, the event began with a vibrant 3 km Walkathon flagged off by Mr. Jose John, President of St. Peter's Education Trust, alongside Principal Mr. R. K. Moses and the members of the leadership team. Nearly 1,800 students and staff participated enthusiastically, celebrating the spirit of unity, fitness, and sportsmanship.

The festivities continued with the ceremonial presentation of a replica FIFA World Cup Trophy, the unveiling of the Football Carnival banner, an energetic flash mob by the Grade 11 students, and a host of exciting football-themed competitions for students from Grades 3 to 12. Despite the rain, the celebrations continued seamlessly indoors, ensuring the excitement remained undiminished.

More than just a sporting event, the Football Carnival celebrated the values of teamwork, resilience, and healthy competition, leaving the entire school community inspired by the true spirit of the beautiful game.
