Stepping Forward for a Drug-Free Tomorrow:
Walkathon Marks Anti-Drug Day at St. Peter’s**
In a determined stride towards combating substance abuse, the Health and Wellness Club of St. Peter's School organized a Walkathon on June 30 at 9:00 a.m. in Kolenchery. The initiative brought together students, faculty, and members of the local community in a collective stand for a drug-free society. The event was officially inaugurated by Mr. Darsak E.R., Excise Inspector from the Mamala Excise Range Office, who ceremoniously flagged off the walk.
A total of 140 Grade 8 students participated in the walkathon, demonstrating spirited enthusiasm and resolve. As they proceeded through the streets of Kolenchery, beginning and ending at the historic St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Church, they carried placards bearing impactful messages aimed at raising public awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.
