Junior Sylvan Symphony: A Celebration of Young Brilliance St. Peter’s Senior Secondary School, Kadayiruppu, resonated with youthful energy and artistic fervour as the cultural extravaganza began with the Junior Sylvan Symphony on 11th August 2025. The prestigious arts fest was inaugurated by Ms. Ashly Usha, E-Valayam fame, whose presence inspired and encouraged the budding performers. The Junior Sylvan Symphony is a vibrant platform for young students to discover and showcase their talents across a variety of disciplines, from music and dance to theatre, elocution, and creative arts. This year’s Junior Sylvan Symphony witnessed an exciting sequence of performances and competitions, each echoing the creativity, confidence, and collaborative spirit of the children. The house-wise competitions conducted this year not only nurtured healthy rivalry but also strengthened bonds of teamwork and camaraderie among students. Respect House emerged triumphant with an impressive 121 points, while Compassion House followed closely with 110 points, securing the second position. Integrity House claimed third with 108 points, and Responsibility House, with 96 points, rounded off the spirited contest. The close margins reflected the determination and consistent effort of all four houses.
The most eagerly awaited moments of the event was the conferring of the prestigious individual honours of Kalaprathibha and Kalathilakam, titles that celebrate extraordinary talent and dedication in the cultural arena. This year, the recognition of Kalathilakam was awarded to Michelle Nidhin (Grade 2D) and Hannah Ann Jibin (Grade 5D), who impressed judges with their remarkable performances. The title of Kalaprathibha was proudly secured by Sreehan K. O. (Grade 2E) and Evan K. Joseph (Grade 5E), whose versatility and creativity made them stand out among their peers. The Junior Sylvan Symphony truly reflected the school’s vision of holistic education, where academics and cultural activities are interwoven to shape well-rounded individuals. The event not only encouraged artistic expression but also instilled values of confidence, perseverance, and teamwork among the young participants.
