Reading Together, Growing Together" ππ
π As part of *Reading Month 2025β26, our school library hosted aΒ Newspaper Reading Session on Friday, 20 June , from 8:00-8:15 a.m involving the entire school community.
Students, teachers, and staff actively joined in, each bringing a newspaper of their choice. The session aimed to:
* Encourage regular reading
* Build language and comprehension skills
* Raise awareness of current events
Teachers supported students in understanding news and its role in critical thinking and informed citizenship.
π A special session for *Classes 1β5 featured The Hindu β Young World, introducing young learners to newspapers through stories, puzzles, and kid-friendly articles. Guided by the librarian, it sparked excitement and helped foster early reading habits.
β The event was a great start to Reading Month, promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for reading across the school. It brought everyone together with a shared goal: to become informed, engaged, and lifelong readers.
